If You Got Lips...Use Them!

023 Lucas has finally figured out how to kiss...kind of.  He now closes his mouth and puckers up.  He gives about a thousand kisses a day.  Keith got to experience his first kiss from Lucas tonight.  It was so sweet.  (Sorry, Lucas.  You won't enjoy this post when you get older!)

What to do with all of those papers and crafts?

060I hung two pieces of string up in the dining room this past year to store all of the boys' little projects. They get to choose which ones to keep and hang them up and which ones get pitched. (No more whining about finding something special in the trash!)

Please Pray For Our Friend!

One of our classmates from college has cancer and begins chemo today. His name is Matt. Please pray for him, his wife, and first born (due in January). You can read his journal from the link on the sidebar, under "My Blogs". It is labled as "Matt Limbrick's Cancer Journal." You can also click on the title of this post. Thanks.

Now Joshua???

Joshua has lost his glasses today. We usually can find them by moving his bed out away from the wall, but no luck this time. So off we go to turn the house upside down...

Yea for Laminate Floors and Leather Furniture!

Lucas threw up tonight:)...all over our new leather loveseat and the new laminate floors that Keith installed this summer. We chose these two items for problems such as this. They both cleaned up quickly and easily. Would highly recommend these purchases for anyone in contact with small children. (Grandma and Grandpa K understand this all too well from a few weeks ago! Sorry again!)

Book Narrrations

I See a Leaf

Kate and Jill gave Miss Hill one leaf, but Jack gave her a thousand and three.

Storm Chaser

You should never worry when there is a storm.

A storm chaser is a vehicle that tracks where the storm is, so that other people will know where the storm is.

Red, White, and Blue

The colors of the American flag are red, white, and blue, just like the title. Just like apples are red, blueberries are blue, and the White House is white. The sky is white and blue. Baseballs are white and red. Jeans are blue, as we all know.

Joshua read these books by himself. This is his summary of the books.

Oh, where, oh, where have Lucas' glasses gone...Oh, where, oh, where could they be?

We went to the zoo on Friday with Grandma Bradley and Lucas took off his glasses on the way. I didn't bother putting them on him at the zoo for fear that they would get lost. When we arrived home, I cleaned out the van and looked for the tiny little things. They were no where to be found. What to do, what to do? I ended up calling the Art Museum and the Zoo to report the missing glasses and to see if anyone had found some. Nope. No luck. I decided to try and look today. I drove the 30 minutes and found an empty space close to where I thought we parked. I got out and looked underneath the car beside me and...there they were! I couldn't believe it. Perfect condition. 2 days later! Now to get them to stay on the kid!

St.Louis Trip #3 This Week

Lucas had his first ophthamology appointment this morning, so...back to St. Louis we go! Lucas was having a great time when I snapped this picture in the ophthamology chair. This was before the "dreaded drops!" There was a lot of crying from that point on. In the end, he now has his prescription for his first glasses. We also found out he doesn't have Strabismus, yet. Which is great! Unfortunately, he is EXTREMELY far-sighted. Positive: Equally bad eyesight in both eyes. Now to find glasses that actually fit him...ARGHH!

Joshua Slideshow

Joshua came up with this idea and we found out the drawings will need to be darker. He also chose the transitions, etc. (There is no sound, just a slideshow)
